Campbellsville University announced a strategic realignment today at its regional Conover Education Center in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. At the conclusion of the Fall 2025 semester, the university will discontinue undergraduate programs at the Harrodsburg location. Campbellsville University is seizing upon the success of the doctoral Chiropractic program, skilled trades, allied health, cosmetology, and barbering certificates as we expand and deepen work in health sciences, workforce curricula, and expanded partnerships.
This decision follows a vote by the university’s Board of Trustees on April 29 and reflects a broader strategic shift to align academic offerings with evolving enrollment trends and student demand.
“This change allows us to strengthen the programs where we are seeing the most growth and innovation while continuing to provide students with access to high-quality education and career-ready training,” said Dr. Joseph Hopkins, President of Campbellsville University. “We remain deeply committed to the Harrodsburg community and proud of the success of our Chiropractic and Certificate programs.”
To ensure a smooth transition, current and prospective undergraduate students enrolled at the regional Conover Education Center will be offered a seamless path to transfer to robust programs at Campbellsville University’s main campus or CU Online. Every effort will be made to ensure that each student’s financial aid situation remains comparable and that their out-of-pocket costs do not increase. In addition, student-athletes will be invited to join the Junior Varsity program in Campbellsville, allowing them to continue their academic and athletic journeys.
“Our commitment to student success and innovation in education remains unchanged. Campbellsville University remains steadfast in our mission to support each student’s academic journey,” said Dr. Rush Sherman, Vice President of Operations and CFO. “Although we are discontinuing undergraduate offerings at the Harrodsburg location, we will provide clear pathways for students to continue their education at our main campus or through CU Online, with dedicated support and no increase in out-of-pocket costs. This was a difficult decision, made with great care and a deep commitment to our students’ futures.”
Dedicated admissions counselors, financial aid advisors, academic advisors, and student services staff will be available to support each student through this transition.
Campbellsville University remains committed to student success and strengthening academic pathways that meet the needs of today’s learners on the main campus and CU Online.
