Being a college student, I find myself worrying about three things usually: Classes, practice and what my next meal is going to be. At Campbellsville University, there are many options to choose from. For example, the cafeteria is available, and you can also use Tiger bucks to get things like Papa John’s or Tigerville Grill.
One place that is not an option though is Chipotle. I do not know why this is the case, but it is, and I think something needs to be done about it.
Chipotle to a college student is like gas to a car. Chipotle is ESSENTIAL to the success and performance of a college student. Not only that, but Chipotle also seems to be a huge hit among college students. I have overheard students talking about how much they would enjoy Chipotle in Campbellsville, and it would be a good thing for our community and the campus.
The perfect blend of the cilantro lime rice and the tender and savory protein choices is something dreams are made of. You have all kinds of veggie options from lettuce, Pico de Gallo, corn salsa, peppers and onions, and even tortilla strips (which isn’t a veggie but come on). And to top all of that off, it is wrapped in a warm, white blanket of floury goodness. I personally think the best part of a burrito is the tortilla but if you’re not like me you can get a bowl and be on your way.
I’m not asking for a Chipotle in Campbellsville, I’m begging for it.
All jokes aside, here are some reasons why I think a Chipotle would be beneficial for campus life in Campbellsville. One, the athletic presence on Campbellsville’s campus is astronomical. A good number of the students are athletes and working to stay in good shape. I think Chipotle is looked at as a healthier option when deciding what you want to eat. The protein from the meat choices is also beneficial to athletes who may be trying to gain weight or get physically stronger.
Another reason I think a Chipotle would be beneficial is because it would not be difficult to find workers. There are plenty of students trying to support themselves. Having a Chipotle can create job opportunities for students. I also think Chipotle as a business would succeed tremendously by being located close to campus.
Those are some of the reasons I believe a Chipotle in Campbellsville would be a great thing. I think this would not only benefit our stomachs but also our daily lives. Being able to get out of class or practice and say, “I’m going to get some Chipotle” would be a wonderful thing.
