Malik Rashad is from Louisville, Kentucky. This is his first year reporting for The Campus Times. He's been at Campbellsville University for almost a year. He's currently studying in the mass communication department. He transferred from Simmons College of Kentucky. While there, he was involved in the Student Government Association. He was also in a vocal ensemble known as the "Voices of Simmons." He served as the secretary of the group. He sang with the tenors.

His extra curricular activities include DoorDashing, and he participates in the Black Student Association. His hobbies include reading biographies, writing stories, singing and chilling with family and friends. He describes himself as laidback. He avoids chaos and confusion. He loves to make people laugh and smile.

He said he's richly blessed and plans to be the man God has chosen him to be. He's looking forward to traveling the world and ministering the gospel of Jesus. He loves God with his entire heart. His very best friend is Ally Paige. She is a true encourager to him. There is a phrase they always say, “Go with Joy.” He said this means no matter what happens in life you can rest assured the joy of the Lord will lead, guide and help you. No matter the situation or circumstance - choose joy.
