Maria Pia Bustamante, an international student from Peru, is in her last year as a mass communication student at Campbellsville University. She transferred from Alvernia University in Pennsylvania to Kentucky during the 2024 spring semester.

Bustamante is part of the WLCU team, working on camera and audio, as well as contributing some graphic design work. Before coming to CU, she worked for some companies in Peru as a graphic designer and community manager. She’s also worked as a video editor and photographer.

In her spare time, Bustamante likes to take photos. She also writes and records her videos when she goes on adventures or daily days, which she publishes on her social media platforms as part of her free time. She has also written many articles that have been published in several newspapers in Peru.
