Campbellsville University senior Bryce Osborne will represent the university this weekend as a competitor in Kentucky’s largest intercollegiate business pitch competition.
The Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE) will host its Collegiate Pitch event on Saturday, Feb. 28, at SparkHaus in Covington. The statewide competition brings together student-led ventures from eight Kentucky colleges and universities, with participants pitching their business concepts for cash prizes and feedback from entrepreneurial judges.

Osborne, a business administration major with an emphasis in entrepreneurship, will present his student-run venture, The Dapper Kernel, during the Exploratory Track. His pitch is scheduled for 2:40 p.m.
The Dapper Kernel is Osborne’s handcrafted kettle corn business based in Campbellsville. What began as a simple idea during a family road trip evolved into a growing local brand focused on fresh, small-batch kettle corn. Osborne has spent months refining everything from sourcing specialty mushroom kernels to developing the company’s playful mascot-style branding. His careful planning and persistence recently earned him first place and a $1,000 prize at Campbellsville University’s campus pitch competition.
Collegiate Pitch is free and open to the public. The event begins at noon and includes multiple pitching sessions, networking opportunities and the announcement of winners.
GSE’s Collegiate Pitch program is designed to support emerging student entrepreneurs across Kentucky by providing funding opportunities, mentorship and real-world pitching experience.
