Campbellsville University senior Bryce Osborne earned $4,000 in funding after competing in Kentucky’s largest intercollegiate business pitch competition on Feb. 28.
Osborne, founder of The Dapper Kernel, placed second in the Exploratory Track during Collegiate Pitch, a program hosted by the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE) at SparkHaus in Covington. The statewide competition featured 17 teams from eight Kentucky colleges and universities.
The Dapper Kernel specializes in fresh, gourmet kettle corn, offering a distinctive and elevated take on a traditional snack. Osborne’s business focuses on creating high-quality flavors while building community engagement through a fun, classy brand experience.
The Exploratory Track highlights early-stage business ideas with strong growth potential. Osborne’s second-place finish earned him $4,000 in prize funding to continue developing The Dapper Kernel in Kentucky.
Collegiate Pitch is the largest intercollegiate business competition in the state and provides student entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their ideas to experienced business leaders and judges.
