Campbellsville University senior Jay Sipes said if he had to go into conflict, it would be worth it to protect those he loves. "I know deep down, if I'm deployed, it's because I'm defending my country," he said. "I'm defending the people I love. I'm defending my family. And so, if that's what it takes for my family to be safe, then I'm OK with that."

Madison Bishop

Madison Bishop is a senior mass communication major from Bardstown, Kentucky.

Bishop completed an internship with the Bardstown Mainstreet program in 2022, focusing on tourism, event planning and the Chamber of Commerce.

During the 2022-23 school year, Bishop was a live reporter for Campbellsville University’s “Athletic Awards Night.” Bishop also worked as a photographer for the university’s communications office during the 2023-24 school year.

Bishop began reporting for The Campus Times during the fall 2024 semester.

Bishop has cheered for the Campbellsville University cheerleading team for four years.
